XPS 1730
Hi,
i recently ordered the 1730 and i did not customize anything.
I just clicked the "buy now" button and purchased the pre-made configuration.
This was on monday 9/8/08 and it's thursday 9/11/08 and my order saya that it is in production.
Why? Isn't it already made and ready to ship, which by the way i payed for 1 day delivery.
The est. ship date is 10/8/08 why??
I payed for the fast delivery and there's nothing to customize.
Why do i have to wait a month?
And apparently there is no way to live chat with anyone unless to have the sevice tag which i don't have because i have not recicieved the laptop yet.
The whole thing seems to be some scam or prank.
Does anyone know the link or something so i can contact dell face to face over the internet and not by phone?

Your laptop may ship earlier than the ship date... then again it may ship later.. Dell has been behind on their deliveries ( as i have read from other posters )
If you want one that is prebuilt and will ship considerably faster.. and save some money, you can cancel your order and buy one from the Dell Outlet

you may have to check it several times daily as items are posted and gone within minutes..
