XPS m1710 gpu interface/connector name?

Hello, I am a xps m1710 owner which has a Nvidia geforce go 7950 GTX gpu card. I wanted to know what the actual connector/interface the gpu has which connects it to the motherboards pci-e? I know it's obviously not an obvious pci-e slot but does it have a specifc name?

Thanks

No -- not quite.  Yes, it's PCI Express - but it's not standard PCI Express. It's a proprietary Dell form factor card.

Hi XPskaiser,

Welcome to the Community. The Nvidia 7650 GTX card on a XPS M1710 goes into the PCI express card slot on your motherboard.

Thank you

Ah thats a bit of a pain! Since my gfx card decided to finally die on me after 3/4 hours (way longer then most) and since theres only used cards available costing £300+ which is way too overboard, I was hoping the unusual connector was readily available so that I could instead somehow interface a desktop gfx running at the pci-e 1.0 x16 speed. At least then the £2000 I spent buying it wouldn't go to waste and make the xps usable even if it basically turned into a desktop like rig.

Thanks for the replies :)
