XPS13 9550 Trackpad frustration

The trackpad on this laptop is beyond annoying.

Single click normally takes three attempts to act, click drag drops the item halfway across the page and forget about scrolling. Even trying to highlight some text to copy and paste is a nightmare. I have had to resort to using the cursor keys and the shift button to highlight text.

I see previous XPS laptops have suffered with this issue and it's so disappointing to have it on this expensive and otherwise impressive laptop. I have the latest windows 10 fully update, dell update tells me I'm completely up to date with the dell drivers.

I think it's going to have to go back :(

I had trackpad issues, using Chrome mainly. After the latest major Windows 10 Update (codename threshold or build 1151 I think) it was fixed. Have you installed this update? It may not have reached you yet through Windows update.

Hi,

Regret the inconvenience ! So that I can get a better understanding of the issue I would ask you to provide some more information.

*Was this issue seen even before windows 10 update.

*Were all the drivers updated before windows 10 update.

*Is the same issue seen in safe mode with networking.

*Have you checked if the same issue is seen with a an external mouse connected.

Awaiting your response.

Regards,
