backup

Hi,

I would like to create a backup image in order to be sure to have a copy of the O.S. in case of trouble  (I have a windows 8 dell xps 13)

I am using dell backup option of the My dell app.

I have to save 11 giga of data so I would like to save the file into an external hard disk.

When I have to choice where to save the image my hard disk does not appear on the list (instead my small 4 GB usb pen does).

How can I save the data?

Thanks

You're going to need a larger capacity flash drive (16G) or a set of DVDs.

But I am trying to put it in a 320 GB hard disk. The problem is that the app "My Dell" does not read my hard disk

I believe the app will work - but the drive needs to be completely blank before you start (if not, it will wipe out the drive before you start the backup process).

It's easier to do with a flash drive you can dedicate to the job.

Can you confirm that I can save the backup using different dvds?
