continuous 8 beep loop after I removed my broken laptop screen

I have an Insipiron N4030 and the screen recently broke so I removed the screen leaving the connection wires in tact including webcam and  what I assume is a ground wire. Ever since I removed the screen my laptop will play a continuous 8 beep interval, I do understand this is a display failure signal but I have attached an external display until I can get a replacement screen. Is there a way to turn off the annoying beep  until I get a screen replacement?
