my dell inspiron 1545 wont boot windows. a blue screen flashes and then restarts. over and over. diagnostic test says code 4400:011a and i get a message disk-generiuc-_multi-card-target not ready! what do i do? please!
to be honest im not sure exactly:) when i press power button thedell logo appers and then i see a flash of a blue screen that has about half the page of words. i known i
see the word corrupt for sur. but cant make out anything else! i dont know much about computers as u can tell.....:)
The message from diagnostics "disk-generic-_multi-card-target not ready' means that there wasn't a card in the card reader while those diagnostics was running. I suggest running HDD diagnostics. Start the system tapping F12, allow the PSA to run and once completed choose to run hardware diagnostics. On the 32 bit hardware diagnostics screen choose custom and then hard drive . If you dont get any errors then this is likely only a Windows corruption issue. You may need to reimage the system but at least hardware wont need to be replaced.
