dell inspiron 600m yellowish display
hi, i have a dell inspiron 600m that has somewhat a yellowish screen, what seems to be the problem, do i need to replace the whole lcd screen or do i need to replace a piece/part, thanks

hi ejn63, i doubt if it's the driver, if it's video chip, how do you resolve that, can that be replaced, is it not maybe an inverter problem, if it's the backlight, then i think the lcd needs to be replaced

First see what the image looks like on an external monitor - if it's same it could be a driver or video chip problem. If it's OK, then it could be the backlight ($100-150 repair) or the display itself.

If it's the video chip (which means the same fault will show on an external display), then the mainboard needs to be replaced - this model does not have a separate video card.
