dell inspiron n5050 display problem. shaky screen
hi . i have a problem with the display in my inspiron n5050. the display recently started to shake (see video for reference). i just want to find out the problem and what it caused it. thanks...

Run the built-in self test on the LCD -- hold D through powerup. If you see the same fault, it's likely a bad screen. If not, it's either a bad video cable or a bad GPU -- replace the cable first. If that doesn't solve it, the GPU is bad - which means a replacement mainboard (or on a system of this one's age, a new system).
