Re: dell inspiron n5110 hangs/ freezes after the bios update A06 to A11

Hi anmol nischal,

May I know does the battery icon disappear from notification bar?

Check if the computer locks up in Safemode with networking. Restart the computer and tap F8 at Dell logo and select Safemode with networking.

Run diagnostics on the computer.

  • Turn the computer off.
  • Turn the computer back on.
  • Immediately at the Dell logo screen, starting tapping the <F12> key once a second until the One Time Boot menu appears (if the computer boots to Windows turn the computer off and try again).
  • At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press <Enter> to begin the PSA.

Perform a clean startup. Refer the following link which has steps to do a clean boot:

For more troubleshooting, refer the following link to isolate the issue:

Awaiting your response!

a 11 bios is as having many probles with hard disk slowing ,audio freezing ,

dell should make a new bios or make a downgrade of bios for t solve this problems

To FIX BSOD, uninstall your drivers in order (may require to restart each step):

1. Chipset

2. Video

3. Audio

4. Network

And reboot

Hope this helps
