dell xps15z problems

Dear Sirs,

Two hardware issues:

Have a xps15z that is just over a year old Half a year ago I applied for warranty because the plastic/chrome trim around the corners of the base was getting loose. This was turned down because it was assumed by dell this was caused by external damage. Now on the other side the trim is letting go too. Please advise what can be done since this is not the neat looking laptop I'ld like to take with me to my customers. Would it be possible to receive a new trim?

Second my battery broke down (a bit quick after just over a year... never had this problem with other laptops of different brands) and I could not find a new one to order on the DELL website in the Netherlands. What are the steps to take to receive a new battery?

Looking forward to your reply,

JK (the Netherlands)

You'll need to call about the trim issue.  With the battery, even with the extended warranty the coverage is one year (i.e., the coverage doesn't apply to the battery) so Dell will not replace that without charge.
