hi is anyone know what i7 cpus are compatable with this motherboard?

Most games can't use more than one or two cores -- so the 2640m is fine. That said, either CPU is very capable of running most games -- the limiting factor won't be the CPU, but the GPU -- the one part of your system that cannot be upgraded.
If you now have an i5 CPU in the system, going to the i7 won't net you much -- it'll simply shift the bottleneck to the GPU.

The system takes second-generation Core i CPUs -- the fastest of these that was shipped with and will work within the power constraints of the system is the 2670QM
