http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-11-3148-laptop_reference%20guide_en-us.pdf

as mentioned in the manual of inspiron 3148, it supports both ac & b/g/n wifi.

but it does not show in dell support app.

even it does not detect the 5 ghz wifi network...

The standard-equipment wireless card is a b/g/n DW1704 that supports only 2.4 GHz operation.

Some models had options for (mostly Intel) upgrade cards for added charge at purchase -- and most of those are AC cards that operate as dual band.

To determine which card you have, use the service tag and support.dell.com (look up the original configuration) -- or, open the device manager and check the system's wireless adapter model.

If it's a DW1704 card it's not AC or 5 GHz capable.

What wireless router/access point are you trying to connect to?

Can you confirm that you see the 5ghz network on another device such as your cellphone?
