is it possible to upgrade processor Dell inspiron 1564 i3-330M to i5-520M?
hi everyone. well, is it possible?
there are two versions of 1564 inspiron. one has i3 and the other one has i5. i was wondering if can replace the current processor i3-330m with the i5-520m.
or just replace the whole motherboard with the i5 motherboard of inspiron 1564. will the i5 motherboard fit inside my laptop?

Unfortunately, you will be unable to upgrade the processor on the system board. I have not tried it, but it is my experience that you will not be able to swap out the system boards either.

can we upgrade ram to 8gb in i3 version of 1564

The 1564 is upgradable to 8 gb. There are two dimm slots, so you will need two 4 gb dimms to do so.
