laptop gets stuck on restart

hi everybody

when i go to restart ie after updates etc it stays on restart and i keep having to press power off button

i have tried diagnostic software which states i have a corrupted c drive

this is annoying me

can or will anyone help

i definitely am NOT a techie

Hi huffard,

I am sorry to hear that the computer fails to shut down after installing updates. I suggest you to run the Diagnostics again by following the steps provided below:

1.Turn on or restart the computer.
2. Immediately at the Dell logo screen, starting tapping the key once a second until the One Time Boot menu appears (if the computer boots to Windows turn the computer off and try again).
3.At the One Time Boot menu, press the arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press to begin the diagnostics.
4. Write down the error codes listed. Reply to us with the error codes and the model of the laptop(E.g XPS 15z)

Laptop seems to be stuck on audio test after f12

hi rajath

i did what you said but it stuck on making what seemed to be the audio test part.

i waited for 2 hrs but it continued

i ended up restarting and pressin f8 and using last known good config

any ideas how to get past the audio test part if that's what it was?
