Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

You may try performing Startup Repair from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and see if that helps.

a. Insert the Windows  installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.

b. Press a key when the message indicating "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD …” Appears.

c. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click next.

d. Click Repair your computer.

e. Select Startup Repair.

Refer the following link for more information:

To know more about “Startup Repair” visit the following link:

If the Startup Repair doesn't work then, please try to follow the suggestions mentioned below to perform System Restore from disc.

a. Insert the Windows  installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.

b. Press a key when the message indicating "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD …” Appears.

c. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click next.

d. Click Repair your computer.

e. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, choose the drive of your Windows installation and click next.

f. At the System Recovery Options Dialog Box, click on System Restore.

g. Follow the System Restore Wizard instruction as usual and choose the appropriate restore point.

h. Click Finish to restore the system.

If Startup Repair and System Restore is of no help, then try to perform these steps to rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) from the following article:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392

Please do let us know if this helps.

Thanks

Robin
