Hello Joe,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Online Customer Service.

I understand from your e-mail that you receive an error message stating......

The application C:\WINDOWS\System32\ntvdm.exe, generated an application error on your computer.

I realize the importance of the issue and look forward to assisting you today...................

For technical assistance correcting this issue, I would recommend working with a Support Professional..........

From the information provided, I understand that you are using an OEM product. If a product or software is preinstalled or distributed with your computer, your primary source for support is the computer manufacturer who provided your Microsoft software.

Contact information for most major computer manufacturers is available at:

Therefore,it seems that Microsoft is passing the issue to DELL, as they have some kind of a deal with DELL to do so....... Now from DELL, What is an answer to my problem of ntvdm.exe having generated an application error.????

As well, all other indications seem to indicate that my registry has somehow been compromized. I have attempted to run restore in safe-mode with using the original (DELL Windows_XP-PRO Operating System disk software, but without any success at accomplishing the task.

Assistance to the correct remedy procedure(s) to correct this problem will have my gratitude. - Thank you!
