plugged but not charging

A few days back I have a problem of this plugged but not charging.. m using a dell 1458 win 7 OS.. i unplugged n reconnected n it seemed to b fine again until yesterday.. please help.. also tel me how i should switch on errors that show me what th actual problem is.i recently got a problem in my BIOS section but got it repaired..is it in anyway responsible for this? please help.

AC adapter shows 90W,so i guess no prob thr... wat do i do now?

Check the BIOS setup - F2 at powerup.  If the AC adapter is listed as "unknown", either the adapter, the power jack, mainboard or  power board, depending on the system is faulty.  In-warranty, call Dell.  Out of warranty, try a new Dell AC adapter first - if it too isn't recognized, the system needs an internal repair.

If the system does sense the adapter but the battery won't charge, the next step is to try a new battery.  if that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard needs replacement.

but the leds behind the batterry stil glowing..doesnt it mean that the battery is still workiing fine?
