plz replace my broken laptop thats under warranty

XPS M1710 NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error - Also burner says a Error, Can't burn - keyboard tabs out while typing - im finding the battries dying faster then it should. Hardware malfunction NMI Parity Check / Memory Parity Error System halted The laptop when playing games goes into a very pixelated mode once the video card starts to get worked, Which also causing blue screens. both type of ram provided caused no solution.

Anytime the laptop does anything that involves multi-tasking or indepth computing it seems to slow down to a grind and then crash, causing blue screens. Windows has freshly been installed numerous times. This is the exact same thing that has happened before. It's quite frustrating to know that I purchased a high-end product that is giving me bare minimal preformance and longevity.

I expect that you will do what is necessary to redeem this faulty product that was sold to me under the DELL name and restore the integrity and respect you once had in my mind.

Called Support Resolution Specialist (RSD) today and he said they would take a look and replace the video again, key word again My Question is, how many times do i have to send it away, how many times does it have to break until i get a NEW laptop( working one) or my money back? If anyone who works for dell can help me out.

I mean im just a kid who's paying money per month for a laptop that doesnt work right. :(

funny how my sisters old Acer works better than my XPS 1710, acer is only 6 years old

:c( plz help.

Well first off...

What level of support did you purchase from Dell when you purchased the notebook?

How many times have you sent it in for repair?

Was the issue the same every time you sent the computer in for repair?

Have you wiped the HDD and re-installed windows?

Does the problem occur in multiple applications, or just one application?

If your computer grinds to a halt and crashed when you do CPU intensive tasks, it does not sound like a video problem. More likely it is an OS or hardware issue with the CPU/Memory bus.

Now if the anwsers to the above questions yield the type of results I am expecting based on your original post, you have sent the laptop in to be repaired for the same problems you are currently experencing several times. I also expect it was returned to you un-repaired. If this is the case, then you have a solid complaint for Dell. Ask them to make it right. Tell them you expect them to replace the laptop, or return your money, since they obviously can not repair the issue. If they agree to replace the laptop, ask them to cover the monthly payments you have had to make with a defective product they repeatedly failed to repair.

**ALWAYS keep your cool, be firm in your position, and always be polite and professional. Losing your temper, being rude, or yelling will not hep you at all.**

Now if asking Dell to make it right just gives you more of the same; you have esclated the issue on the phone as much as possible, and you still feel you are not being treated fairly then here is a few things you can do....

File a small claims court claim for the money you have had to pay, pluse the loss of use in your equipment; or for the entire purchase amount if they refuse to replace the laptop.

Call your Att-orney General, and file a complaint against Dell for selling you a defective product they refuse to replace or refund. Ask the AG to call Dell on your behalf.

File a BBB complaint agaist Dell.

Call your credit card company and ask for thier assistance.

Good luck

thank you, Im not sure which level of support, Im sure its a good level? ( how do I find out) This will be the second time Ive sent it away with the same problem, not even a year later.. Now I have to buy another Warranty( I would be stupid not to right?)..

Ive re installed windows many times along with all the drivers and such. Anytime the laptop does anything that involves multi-tasking or indepth computing it seems to slow down to a grind and then crash, causing blue screens I would love to get my dell working before all my warranty stuff is up... its only fair.
