possible lcd on when do nothing fix

I noticed A LOT of people with a similar problem to mine where you had power mg. set to "do nothing" yet the lcd would not shut off when closed.  I spent about 2 days trying to figure out what I did to cause this problem and I finally figured it out.  Unfortunately many of you have nvidia cards so I know your problem (for those people) although the same, is not related to mine....  Anyway I had earlier disabled the ati hotkey poller service... because i thought it had something to do with ..literally..hotkeys... but i guess not because disabling it caused me a lot of problems with power management. Now that its back on my lcd turns off again when set to. =)  Anyhow...hope it helps someone.
