power led turns off
hi, i have noticed that power led indicator turns on then fades off when i insert the battery(only without AC adapter ) on my dell inspiron 5558 , is there is a problem ? , and if .. how to solve it .. thanks

Thanks for writing to us.
The power LED shouldn't turn on when battery is inserted.
Please update the BIOS from our support.euro.dell.com --enter the tag#--submit--select drivers and downloads--choose the operating system and install the BIOS from the list.
Does it happen the same when you plug in the charger (without the battery)??
When did the issue start?
Do provide us your system tag#, email address and name via private message,by clicking on my name in blue and then select send a private message

It turns off when battery only inserted , turns on when AC adapter only inserted ... Thats the normal as you say ... Isn't it ?

If the system runs normally without the battery, the overwhelming odds are that the battery is bad. The first thing to try is replacing it with a new one.
