replacement of 6 cell battery by 9 cell battery
I have a dell Inspiron 5520. I have been using it for over a year now, it came with a 6 cell battery and the battery life is around 2+ hours. Can I replace that with a 9 cell battery? and would the 9 cell battery provide longer battery life? moreover, would I need to replace my adapter as well??

Not with an OEM Dell battery, but there are some third party 9-cells.

Hi ekwinder,
Unfortunately Dell Inspiron 5520 cannot be customized or configured with 9 cell battery. The system comes with default 6 Cell battery only.

Thank you for your response. I read somewhere that a 9 cell battery can be inserted into a 5520, adding extra weight and sticking out at the back of course, but is that possible??
