screen jumping

HELP! My screen is jumping all the time! I feel like I'm in the middle of an earthquake or something. It does this both on/off the internet. I've run a virus scan--nothing there. My computer is a dell inspiron E1405. And..of course...the warranty went out in January Smiley Sad

Re: screen jumping

You mean the image on the screen is jumping around?  Try an external monitor (Fn+F8 to transfer output to the external monitor after you connect your computer to it).  If the problem persists, there is a problem with the video hardware/drivers on the laptop.  If not, there is something wrong with the LCD panel and it requires to be replaced.
