touch pad problems

Hi,

I have an Inspiron 1545 laptop, running window 7.

I keep having problems with my touch pad in that it is hard to control and I cannot always get it to go where I want it to because it is so light.

When this happened before (twice) my machine was under warranty so it was sorted through that.

Is there anyway I can fix this my self? I think Dell downloaded or updated drivers.

Hi vandab,

Please update the touchpad driver using the link below.

Also I would recommend that you keep the touchpad sensitivity to minimum. Follow the steps below.

Start > in search box type in Dell touchpad > touchpad properties reduce the sensitivity to minimum and check if the issue persists.

Thankyou for your reply,

I did take a chance this morning and downloaded that driver  you gave me( I'm really not very good with computers) and I have now sorted the touchpad sensitivity, at the moment that is working.

Thankyou
