I have a dell m6600 with an Open DMC slot. I already have 2 1TB Sata ssd drives installed, 1 msata 256GB SSD, Wifi and Bluetooth, 32GB Ram, 2 extra 3.0 USB slots in the 54mm express card slot, for a total of 4 USB 3.0 slots, but have no idea what the 1 inch x 1 inch DMC slot is for, or what the acronym stands for.
Anybody know?

Display mini card -- for wireless video transmission
what is the difference between a "dell wireless display card" and normal 80.2.11 WIFI, which can transmit video wireless. Using normal WIFI I can transmit video to my TV via intel WIDI drivers? (same way miracast does)
I have never seen any Dell doc on a component that goes in the DCM slot, for dm6600 or dm4600
Steve
I have been wandering the same thing but I may be wrong, I saw the acronym in my computer architecture class when i was doing my degree in computer Science. I think it means "direct map cache". My assumption is that it is a slot to increase cache memory. Again I have no resource to back this up I have search all over and cant find anything that helps so this is just my person computer science knowledge. Let me know if you find anything. good luck
why can't Dell answer this question?
