why is Dell selling many different watt chargersr ?

this laptop is E6540 and i believe they came with 130 watt adapter.

here Dell is offering for this machine a 65 watt, 90 watt, 130 watt, 180 watt andf 240 watt !!

what is going on here  ?  they cannot all be good, yes?

It will depend on:

The CPU (quad cores need more power than dual),

The GPU (hybrid setups need more power than integrated Intel)

The docking station chosen.

It's always safe to use a higher-wattage adapter than what was shipped, but never safe to do the reverse.

If you have an i7 version with nVidia or AMD hybrid GPU, the 130W should be the correct adapter.
