7559 fans off way too much

The cooling system on the 7559 is great, when it runs.

While doing non gaming tasks including heavy web browsing and multiple IDEs open. the laptop becomes hot in the middle back area and becomes really uncomfortable to use on my lap. once temps reach 60+ the fans seem to kick in and the laptop becomes cool again really quick.

Is it possible to control the fans or modify the fan curve because its an annoying issue in a great laptop. I want the fans to run more.

The laptop is 2 weeks old, I am on the latest bios.

It appears placing the laptop on your lap is causing the system to overheat. Please watch the Dell video below on how to avoid laptop overheating issues.
