Bios error The AC Adapter & Battery Must Be Plugged in Before the System Bios can be Flashed

I have a D600 Latitude and the Wireless card does not display.  I have installed the Intel 2100 Proset drivers and the Dell drivers and still no wireless card in System.  Therefore I attempted to update the A14 Bios to A16 and receive this error ""The AC Adapter & Battery Must Be Plugged in Before the System Bios can be Flashed" each time.  I also received this error for A15 Bios update.

Both the AC adapter and the battery are plugged up and working properly.  I need to get my wireless working and I figured the Bios would find the components.

Anyone else experiencing this problem or error?

Have you tried the DOS version instead of the windows flash?...

Replace the AC adapter or battery - whichever is not being detected - BEFORE you attempt to flash the BIOS.

Thanks a bunch DGKPCON!  This suggestion worked.  I now have A16 Bios installed however it did not resolve the wireless card issue.  I am thinking maybe this model doesn't have a Wireless Card install because nothing is picking it up, not even the updated Bios. Thanks again.

Check the BIOS settings for the WIFi card to make sure you have not disabled it.

Thanks Bill B, didn't think to look for it physically.  Don't know what happened to it, but it is missing.  Thank you.
