Hi

Just got the above laptop.  Can't use Ctrl + Home or Crtl + End within Word (haven't tried elsewhere the computer is so new!).  Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi SUZANH,

What is the exact system model?

If the home / end keys are located on the arrows or other keys, then try using ctrl + fn + home / end key and it should work.

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Secondly....

Type Ease of Access Center control panel onto [Cortana] search bar, stroll down to " Make the keyboard easier to use", and then uncheck "Turn on Sticky keys".

I'm assuming you have windows 10.....

First, check if you have received latest windows updates are installed. Please press Windows logo  key + R, type ms-settings:, and then select "OK'. In Settings, choose Update & security  > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required.

Thanks, the machine is only three days old and all updates have been done.

Another user's answer works.

You need to Ctrl + Fn + Home or end.

So an extra key needed for something that was so simple.

Thank you.  Although it's a bit odd to add an extra keystroke into something that is used so often.

Suzan

Hi Suzan,

Thank you for the update.

Glad to hear that the other user's response has helped as well.

Since these machines are compact, they designed in this fashion.
