Dell Inspiron N5010

Hi,

My N5010 would not start when booted and just displays the windows repair screen for hours. When I tried to run a BIOS test the hard drive gave me a 4000-0146 error, any help with this?

You'll need a new, 2.5" 9.5 or 7 mm hard drive -- your hard drive has failed.

Hi POOHRITH,

The HDD has indeed failed and needs to be replaced.

You could contact our team to get a quote here - http://dell.to/1vnT6CQ

You could also order the parts here - http://bit.ly/2g92CuU

Kindly ensure you have the OS to reinstall the OS on the new HDD.

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your Name for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.

Thanks for the clarification, will a SSD also work if I buy a new component?

Yes, as long as you buy a 2.5" SATA drive.
