E6430 internal speakers no sound but headphones OK
Never had any issue with sound before. Suddenly the speakers on E6430 don't work but headphones still do. Booted using f12 key and it passed sound test. Swapped boot drive from Win10 and inserted Win 7 drive with same results. I guess the speakers are OK but the sense pin doesn't work. Software is up-to-date. So now what?

Hello. If still under warranty contact tech support.
If not, look at this part. Note that there are 2 versions of the part, and the one you use depends on your graphics.
The instructions are in the Owner's (Service) Manual.

What a great help jimco is-thanks a lot! Looks like I'll have to take the laptop completely apart to replace the daughter board. Thank you
