How to activate Clearwire on new laptop?

Just got a new Dell laptop and opted to purchase a Clearwire subscription at checkout time. They sent me an acknowledgment but aside from a confirmation code there was no username and password provided.

I believed that Clearwire would be enabled at the time of shipment (at least that's what they told me) but apparently it's not. When I try to connect, it asks for my username and password and I can't provide it. When I called their support they didn't have my name on file or my confirmation code or phone number.

I'm able to check the status of the Clearwire order using the confirmation code and it says "awaiting activation". So I'm in somebody's system somewhere, just not Clearwire's I guess.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
