Latitude e6400 XFR screen issue
I just got my new Latitude e6400 XFR and I'm really disappointed with the screen. I ordered the non-touch screen and this one looks like it's got a lot of purple paint overspray all over the screen. I don't know whether I received a touch screen that's not hooked up, or if this 'coating' has something to do with it's Direct Vue technology - it's horrible.
I own a D630 XFR and it's screen was bright and CLEAR. None of the spatter I see on this screen. The D630 screen was supposed to have 500 nits brightness and the e6400 is supposed to be 750 nits. Looking at them side by side, the older D630 is brighter and definitely clearer. Both of them work well outdoors - I really need the outdoor viewable screen.
Does anyone own an e6400 XFR who can corroborate my observations? I want to make sure that I'm not bugging Dell about a 'feature' - unless I can send it back to get it fixed - if that's indeed the problem.
I can't do this on my own and would really appreciate some feedback!
