N7110 Headphone jack intermittently won't shut off laptop speakers

If I jiggle the headphone jack it will shut off the latop speakers.  Tried other headphones same result, so problem is in the jack ( worn out, poor solder connections, etc?)  So I ordered a replacement jack from ebay it looks somewhat the same, but really won't know until I open the computer up.  My question has anyone replaced this headphone jack on this model?  Is it soldered in?  If so how did you replace it?  the one I purchased doesn't look like the leads on the replacement jack go beyond the jack itself.

Thanks

My question has anyone replaced this headphone jack on this model?

Hello. Because replacing a motherboard component is not a common repair job done by owners you might well not get a response, particularly if the responses specifically are limited to N7110 owners. Add to that that due to the support nature of this board, most of the people who come here do so to post a question, not to browse through other questions. This is a niche board and only a couple of us regulars read all of the posts.
