New Alienware 17 R3 Keyboard randomly becomes unresponsive

Hi peeps, I just bought an Alienware 17 R3 last week. I've installed Photoshop CC and SketchUp 2016. While using both programs my keyboard will randomly become unresponsive. I took it back to Best Buy last night and the service technician installed the latest BIOS upgrades (sorry - I really don't know much about computers so I am trying to repeat as much as he told me but I'm not terribly well-versed). Unfortunately the upgrades did not seem to help as it did it again twice today... I'm attaching a pic of my computer stats.

Also, I use an external 1Tb drive to store my projects and an Intuos Med Pro tablet to do my sketches.

Help?!?!?

What is happening with my new laptop???
