New XPS13 9360 Intel 8th Gen FHD - does it still have CABC?

Does anyone know if the FHD version of the new XPS13 with 8th Gen Intel I7 8550U processor still has CABC (content-adaptive brightness control). I believe a fix was issued for previous UHD models but that it could not be applied to FHD models.

Wondering if the latest FHD model still has this 'feature' ?

LJC1,

Unfortunately, it is only for the UHD models and not FHD.

Thanks Jesse. Seems odd that Dell continues to keep this feature that is universally disliked, must lose them some potential customers - me included!

Another thought - does CABC only come in to effect when running laptop on battery only or when connected to mains adaptor too?

It's always on... And just to try and give a picture on how annoying it is, try and watch a movie.. When there's a dark scene the image starts to flicker! (not to mention trying to get a good result when retouching a photo in Photoshop...)
