Windows 7 starter on Inspiron mini 1012
Hi guys,
I am actually looking for a link where I can download a copy of Windows 7 Starter for my inspiron. My HDD got crammed recently and I lost the ghost drive containing the OS recovery.
Any ideas for that?

Right. Only Dell personnel can help you with such problem as you can't get any licensed OS online just by downloading it.

Although its best to get the DVD from Dell, an alternative if your 25 digit product key is legible is to download a Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium .iso and make a bootable USB. Delete the ei.cfg file, install Windows 7 Starter and activate via phone. This is explained in my Windows Reinstallation Guide:

Alternatively when you get the DVD from Dell you may use it as instructed in my Windows Reinstallation Guide. If you get a DVD you may need to convert it into a bootable USB in order to install Windows 7 on the netbook this is likewise explained in my Windows Reinstallation Guide.

I have also had to replace a hard drive and cannot find the starter edition CD for the Dell Inspiron mini 1012.

As you are in the US fill out this form here alternatively you can follow my instructions on using the .iso above.
