bad sound in booting windows

• Check which side of the system is making noise

• Shut down the system and run the hardware diagnostic by using a combination of ‘ Fn and power button ‘ or tap the F12 key on the dell logo screen and select diagnostics option. observe and note any error code(s) during the diagnostics

• Ensure that there is no disc in the optical drive

• Update the system BIOS from this link : http://dell.to/L9FhQY

Download this file on your system and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Restart the system.

Please revert with observations

• almost side of toouchpad
• no error and all test passed
• ok
• ok from a07 to a10

but still bad noise!!!!

well i understand sometimes has this problem. after update bios it has noise some times for example today morning without noise start but now had noise only from boot time till windows logo appear has noise no after that.

is it the dvd drive?

changed hard drive and still have sound not commin from dvd drive.....might want to start looking at fan assembly

i don't think problem comes from fan because sometimes it make noise

well, now when wants to load windows before appear windows logo has Knocking sound  and i must press any key till load windows. i can record sound and mail for you if you wants/
