black box around screen?

Go into the Display Properties by right-clicking on the Desktop. Then select the Settings tab near the top of the box that pops up. Slide the "screen resolution" slider up to a higher resolution and press OK. If the slider will not adjust, your driver hasn't been installed, so let me know. I'll try to help you.

does anyone know what driver i need to install. i have a few other cd's that came with the computer but dont have a clue what they are for.

I really do not think that my driver is installed. The slider will not move

Need to know what model your computer is and what OS you have installed on it.

your extra cds might help, but since I'm not there I don't know what they say on them. Do they have labels?
