m2800 battery failure
When attempting to power on, the battery fail light is blinking amber and does not power on, even when plugged into wall. Switched batteries with another m2800 unit I have, and the problem follows the battery. The warranty is good through 2018 so how do I get a replacement, as I cannot power on the laptop with this current battery.

You'll have to call Dell support. Note that the a 3-year system warranty does not necessarily cover the battery - while Dell does offer a 3-year warranty on the battery, it's a separate purchase (and the battery will have a green label as opposed to the grey one on a standard battery).
