fan problem xps 15 9530

we have 2 xps laptops xps 9530 both having the same problem from the same time.
the fans both turn on 2x hard and briefly, with the laptop not responding to anything anymore. while watching video the picture stops and the sound changes to hum . even during rest modes the fans are turned on and always 2x short and hard . both laptops have this problem from the same time . I don't see anything in the update history. could this be a hidden update from Dell itself ? Anyone else have this problem or does anyone know a solution?
