Welcome to the Dell Community  @miavespucci

Yes you can.

If you want to connect now we would need the model number of the WiFi card you have installed now???

If you do not have a card installed that supports 5GHz you can upgrade to one that does.

One that I use for your model laptop is Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.

You have drivers for this model WiFi on your Driver Support page.

Note: Click on the WiFi symbol in the lower right hand corner.

If you see any Networks with the extension -5G then you have a 5GHz WiFi card already installed.

Hi I opened the laptop the card inside is

Dell WLAN WiFi Mini-Half Wireless Card 802.11 b/g/n 0MNRG4 DW1506

does that have the ability to connect to 5Ghz ?

Thanks, Mia

Yes I have an intel 6235 wlan card dell service tag 88CCRY1 it receives 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz channels plus if you install a dell and note I do say DeLL intel 6300 n you can connect all three attennas for MiMO a better 5.0 Ghz experience

make sure the 6300 n from intel is a dell half height wlan card be aware intel markets a retail version

also the dell intel 6235 has a blutooth option on the card.
