Dell Latitude 3410 Head Phone Jack not functioning.

I've sent two Latitude Laptops to one of our Remote site and I'm getting feedback that the Headphone Jack does not work, different headphones have been rested but only static is heard.  Is this issue known or new.  We need to use ZOOM so is an issue for us.

Just moved from HP to DELL.  First Laptop off the Truck failed.

You can solve the problem without restarting the computer.

1. Go to Device Manager. Under sound, video and game controller, find the sound card. Right click on it and disable. The sound card become disabled.

2. Enable sound again by right clicking in the sound device and selecting enable

The sound should be in headphone (if plugged in) or to the speaker (if headphone is not plugged in).

This is a quick temporary solution. Probably there is no permanent solution.
