Dell Latitude 5580 Issues with Microsoft Display Adapter

I have 2 dell latitude 5580, and for some reason I can't get one of them to connect to the Microsoft wireless display adapter. It says it's connected but if you see how it's projecting it always has disconnected selected, and if you click duplicate it goes back to disconnected. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this?

The Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is software that's built into Windows that provides display and graphics capabilities when software from your hardware manufacturer isn't installed. ... Typically, you'll get the latest drivers from Windows Update or as part of Windows setup.
