my device (Dell Latitude 5285) in Modern Standby mode (S0i3) drains 2% (and sometimes even more) of battery per hour (>650mW), which is significantly more than Modern Standby compliant device should consume. System Power Report identifies "SoC Subsystem" > NoHwDrips.C10 > NoHwDrips.PMC_XHCI_ACTIVITY as root cause of excessive power consumption. Does anybody experienced similar behavior? What is usual battery consumption of your notebook when in Modern Standby (as reported by powercfg /sleepstudy)?
I have Windows 10 Pro version 1809 (OS Build 17763.1), most up-to-date drivers for all hardware. Please do not provide generic information on Power Plans, I already tried to tweak as much as possible (Fast Startup disabled, Always disconnect from network when computer is asleep and on battery power).
Per the Microsoft Website, the battery should only drain by 5% of its mWh or mAh capacity over 16 hours.
Try disconnecting devices from USB / TBT, they could be preventing the SOC from going into C10.
I am curious if Dell support can help or do they tell you it is a SW issue and send you to Microsoft ?
