Latitude E7440 monitor rubber peeling

The rubber on my monitor is peeling. Furstrated. 

How can I fix it?

Hi I have the same issue with my E7440 (carbon version with touch screen). Few months ago the rubber seal around the screen has started to peel off in two spots: near the heatpipe and in the top-rifght corner of the screen.

Never had such visual issue with any Lattitude laptop (it is my 7th Lattitude machine).

I have the same issue with my Latitude 7480. It doesn't affect the performance but it looks really ugly, like a ragged mutt. I would like to remove the remains of that rubbery film altogether. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove it without damaging the screen cover?
