Replacing a damaged base of an e6540 with a new one and emphasis on the RJ-11 Jack or absence of one

Does anyone have any experience with whether a new base for an e6540 would have a blank off over the RJ-11 port that is the telephone jack socket. Question is would a blank off detach from the old to mount on the new base or could someone tell me the part number to the RJ-11 jack and modem that might go into the e6540 Thanks
