Re: Upgrade Ram for Dell Latitude E6430

Dell memory specs for the E6430 are: DDR3L SDRAM (1600MHz ) 2 slots supporting 2G, 4GB, 8GB DIMMs. The L in DDR3L stands for 1.35 volts.

Re: Upgrade Ram for Dell Latitude E6430

Thanks, Iron, but is it ok to replace the current RAM of 1.5 volts with the suggested ones of 1.35 volts.

Re: Upgrade Ram for Dell Latitude E6430

DDR3 1.5 volt RAM will work with the system but at a lower performance.

If you replace the RAM with 1.35volt modules (DDR3L) as specd by Dell, you will get the best performance from the memory.

My E6430 is running 16GB (8 x 2) of DDR3L RAM emoticon.Wink.title
