e5430 battery issues
when i connect the battery , sometimes the system will not post . it tries to as the power button lights up and so does the power indicator on the front of the laptop . it works perfectly fine on an ac adapter. Any ideas what it could be? its got a brand new battery

Have the supplier replace the battery under warranty. If a second new battery does the same, it's likely a mainboard fault.

little follow up: after removing the flat cmos battery and adjusting the power settings as well as applying better thermal paste the laptop works like a gem . thanks for the help
