no error codes

I have run SupportDiagnostic several times and get the message

With no error code given, how should this be interpreted?

Re: no error codes

If the drive has completely failed it cannot scan it to give a specific error code. Replace the hard drive.

Re: no error codes

Run the Dell hardware diagnostics - F12 before Windows loads.

If the system is under warranty, record the numeric error AND the validation code - you'll need both to arrange warranty repair.

If the system is out of warranty, post the model number and someone can point you toward a replacement drive.
