Restoration Files/Media

I recently received my XPS 13 Developer's Edition. At the time of purchase, I asked pointed questions about whether the kernel was optimized and tuned specifically for this device, and if stock Ubuntu 12.04LTS was optimized for the device, or not. I was assured this was the case. Further, I was told that I would be able to call in to support once my device was received to order restoration media, or some form of the original install, should the need to restore the device to its factory shipped state arise. I know I can create my own startup disk. Because my needs are experimental, I thought it would be a necessity to be able to restore the laptop to factory. Does any one know if this is a possibility?

Hi,

If its any help, I found a restore ISO in the ~/Downloads folder of my default account.

If you go to the support dell site, you can download the iso here: http://goo.gl/s4Atrh

You can also download the Ubuntu driver support pack here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/Product/xps-13-9333?driverId=4NTWR&osCode=1204A&fileId=3334721637&languageCode=EN&categoryId=CS

Perfect. Thanks, Mark! Do you know if the ISO is tuned and optimized for the XPS 13?

Anyone know if the kernel is optimized?
